Take a look at what I did to this thrifted glass vase! Using some drywall mud, kids air dry clay and some awesome products from Plaid Crafts, I created this faux clay vase. And basically everything I used is sticky!

To texture the vase, I used a layer of drywall mud. I made the handles from some made for kids air dry clay, and many different layers of paint were added after it was all dry. I think it turned out pretty nice!
