Bathroom Tour

Updated: Jun 19, 2020

Come in and see what started this whole adventure! So if you missed my previous post, my spouse put down some gorgeous flooring in the bathroom for Mother's Day and it has since turned into a slew of DIY's, redecorating, rearranging, the list is very long.

The little details.

We used to have a HUGE bookcase in here that held everything and that just had to go. I repurposed my old microwave cart that I had redesigned a couple years back. This bathroom is tiny and has NO storage, but there is such a thing as too much storage, as it fills up and just looks messy. Hence, the little cart v. the big bookshelf.

My mom and I went to Family Dollar and I found this super cute display shelf on clearance for $6.25 marked down from $12. I had to have that! I got a succulents arrangement for Mother's Day from my 24 year old and I separated them in to individual containers. Perfect decor for my bathroom color scheme of choice. Only thing is I need to paint it white!

I made this cute printable to go in here, and you can also get this in my Etsy shop.

Still lots left to do.

The thing about this house, they used to ugliest, cheapest materials to build it, and it's a nightmare. This particle board or OSB is so awful, but it is damn sturdy. So look for an upcoming post about how I'm going to fix that chippy look and make it sleek and smooth!

Also, I have got to do something about this awful shelf over the toilet. it was there when we moved in and its just an eyesore.

Final Thoughts

Since this stuff has been done in here, I'm almost not ashamed of it anymore. I mean, I'm not rich, but damn it I want things to look nice as I can. As my tag line says, I've got Tiffany's taste on a broke girl budget. Happy Decorating!
