I have officially joined the YouTube family! I posted a video showing how I took an item I found at the thrift store for a quarter and turned it into a super cute pot for my ivy plant.
I fell in love with this tin tub as soon as I saw it, the color is right in line with what I'm doing with my kitchen, though I am not a fan of the brassy color. I want to change that, and I have some new paints now, so I may do an update on this in a few weeks.
So first, I gathered my supplies -
the tin tub
my ivy plants
water
kitchen shears to trim
soil

Then I prepped the tub by using a fat nail and from the bottom, I nailed it through to make drainage holes.

Next, pop that soil in, and give it a little drink. Then I trimmed off the dead/dying leaves and vine bits. 2 of my 3 plants are looking a little worse for wear, so I'm hoping they'll bounce back in their new bed.

I get the plants in, make sure they have soil and water, and viola!
